Registration Opens this Week for the IOPFDA Small Business Advocacy Fly-In!

Each year, representatives for the Office Furniture Dealers Alliance (OFDA) and National Office Products Alliance (NOPA) converge upon the nation's capital to lobby on behalf of the industry's needs. Their efforts place the issues that impact the industry directly in front of lawmakers - lawmakers who are interested in what their constituents have to say.

The fly-in is a very important activity for members because it places them directly across the table from their legislators and forces the lawmakers to hear the concerns of leading business operators in their districts. The association urges as many representatives as possible to partake in this important industry-specific fly-in as there is strength in numbers. Unity with your peers shows that this industry has power and has concerns that need to be heard.

  • Dates: Tuesday, May 15, 2018 - Wednesday, May 16, 2018
  • Tuesday, May 15: Industry attendees will receive a legislative update

Amazon Plans SMB Credit Card

Amazon is reportedly planning to launch a credit card for its SMB customers in the US.

According to Bloomberg, the e-commerce giant is fielding bids from banks for a co-branded credit card for small business owners that shop on the site. The move appears to be part of Amazon’s drive to grow its share of the office supplies market through its B2B platform Amazon Business.

In October, it introduced Business Prime Shipping in the US and Germany, offering free fast delivery in a bid to push adoption of the platform among SMBs and compete with large re-sellers such as Staples and Office Depot.
